Therese Kaley established Better Staff in 2008 to meet the growing need for specialist recruitment needs of both IT Consulting organisations and IT Departments. With 18 years of continuous experience predominantly within the Australian IT Market, Therese brings a fantastic reputation, large network and invaluable experience to market.
The recruitment of any role is entirely unique and each role is different. Therese enables each of Better Staff’s clients to truly identify the type of staff and expertise needed for any given role and the best course of action to source the best possible employee.
Therese leads the overall direction and strategy of recruitment process within Better Staff. Adopting old school recruitment practices combined with contemporary behavioural and selection techniques is the key to success in recruiting for Better Staff clients.
Candidate experience is not forgotten with care and dedication in enabling successful career direction and job security for our contractor and candidate base.
Therese ensures that all Better Staff employees adopt and practice a full recruitment services and remains hands-on in the recruitment cycle.
Therese attended the University of Sydney where she earned a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Psychology in 1993. She is the mother of two Children and actively promotes Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace.

Therese has over 8 years’ experience in the recruitment industry. She began her IT recruitment career in both agency and in-house environment. Therese assisted in providing IT professionals to industries such as Managed Services, Banking, Finance, FMCG and Government to name a few.
With an advanced diploma in human resources, Therese joined Better Staff in 2008, as an Operations Manager. Over the years she has gained invaluable experience in evaluating, sourcing, training and developing solutions to all business. Whether you are a client or a candidate, you can expect an honest, informative and friendly service in all your dealings with her.
Her biggest asset is the ability to identify the most talented individuals by identifying the 'right' role for great candidates out there in the market place. |
Shammi Rahman

Shammi has been a Sydney-based recruiter for the past 5 years, specialising in IT recruitment for clients all around Australia. During this time she has successfully placed many candidates specialising within the Infrastructure and Applications space from support to management type of roles in both contract and permanent engagements. Shammi has brought with her a broad cross section of industry knowledge, applying her interest in customer relations with an ability to liaise with many people on many levels in various industries which includes Fortune 500 technology based organisations, ICT, FMCG, Banking and Finance.
She has demonstrated growth and success in recruiting, candidate sourcing/management, executive/technical placement, contracts negotiation, recruitment process improvement and technical sales with the ability to motivate and mentor candidates to help them take their next career step. One of her biggest assets that she brings to Better Staff is her ability to build strong relationships and to listen and understand client's requirements and business needs.
Shammi has been involved in sales management, IT and recruitment throughout her career. This breadth of experience has given her precisely what is needed to advise clients on the attraction and retention methods that align with their company.

Anne has extensive recruitment experience in both agency, internal, graduate and volume recruitment. She has worked in a variety of sectors including industries such as administration, finance, legal and IT within her 6 year career. Anne has formed successful recruiting relationships with some of Australia’s leading organisations particularly within small to mid-sized organisations. Anne has extensive business development and sales experience, and pays particular attention to understanding her customer needs and thinking outside the square in order to provide exceptions recruitment solutions.
Anne has completed an advanced diploma in Marketing Management and an Associate Diploma in Human Resource Management at UTS. Her expertise includes strong client/candidate management with a professional and honest approach as well as priding herself on building successful and on-going repour between herself and her clients. She enjoy going to the theatre and overseas travel.

Lauren McMahon

Lauren joined Better Staff over a year ago, throughout this time she has worked as an IT recruiter across varied industries including ICT, Managed Services, Government and FMCG. She continually makes sure that successful results are achieved by recognising the resources required to assist in meeting her clients’ goals.
Lauren has experience within IT support, sales, marketing and customer service roles in both permanent and temporary assignments. Her passion for the IT industry has given her the ability to guide and support her candidates towards their goals and her friendly, honest and professional approach has helped her maintain long lasting relationships with her clients.
She is currently studying a Bachelor of Business with a major in Human Resource Management and Business Law, and her aim is to complete an MBA within the next 5 years, specialising in recruitment.
